PLANS ARE UNDERWAY FOR OUR GRAND OPENING IN LATE SPRING '2005
We will be offering MacGregor 26’ motor-yachts for rent or charter to the public. You will be able to sail the open waters of Diamond Valley Lake, or, if you prefer you could let down the sails and cruise the lake using the yacht’s attached outboard motor.
SAILING QUALIFICATION & POWERBOAT CLASS, 4-HR.
To rent our yacht, you must first complete our safety and sailing certification class. This 4-hour class is for experienced sailors who already know how to sail.
Our goal is to acquaint you with:
Current safety rules and boating regulations,
Rules of the new Diamond Valley Lake,
MacGregor 26, her many safety features and how to use them.
You will be given a hands-on certification cruise test. Upon successful completion of this class, you may rent one of our yachts anytime you make a reservation. You must take and pass our qualification sailing class or prove that you are sailing certified by the Coast Guard or another yacht club.
The cost for this 4-hr. class is $65.00/Person
BASIC SAILING CLASS, 8-HR.
If you haven't sailed before, we offer a basic sailing class for the beginning sailor. This 8-hour class will show you, boating safety requirements, basic sailing techniques and concepts and will enable you to safely enjoy the pleasures of sailing on Diamond Valley Lake. This is a hands-on class and there will be a test.
The cost for our 8-hr. Basic Sailing class is $125.00/Person
SAIL BOAT RENTAL RATES
Due to the nature of our business and the costs associated with launching our yachts, all sailing classes will have a minimum of (3) students. We will do our best to find other students to take a class with you. Therefore, the cost of a class must be paid in advance and once an appointment for the class has been made, there can be no refund if you do not show up. Upon certification by Diamond Valley Yacht Club, you may rent one of our MacGregor 26 motor yachts at the following rates:
$65.00/hour (3 hour minimum)
or
$395.00 for a full day (8 hours)
SAILBOAT CHARTER
For those who would rather not take our sailing classes, we will offer a sailboat charter. The captain and a crewmember will take you and up to 3 guests (4-total) sailing on one of our yachts.
$100.00/hour (3 hour minimum)
